Downtown Salt Lake - Urban

Downtown Salt Lake is well loved for its local business centers offering an array of the best independent shopping and dining options.  These eclectic spots act as a hub for community socializing.  Downtown Salt Lake offers large city parks, amazing outdoor music venues, museums and art galleries, independent film and theater, Ballet West, fun festivals and farmers markets, and many Yoga and Pilates studios.  Hiking and biking trails systems are easily accessible and many neighborhoods walkable.  Downtown Salt Lake offers close proximity to Park City and all the many ski resorts found throughout the county such as Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird and Alta.

Local coffee houses are abundant.  Favorites include Publik Coffee Roasters, Campos Coffee, Nostalgia Coffee, and Coffee Garden located in the walkable district of 9th and 9th.

Salt Lake City is home to University of Utah and Westminster College wherein residents join for lectures and documentaries.  The Salt Lake City Library is also a popular place for such events.

Housing options are diverse ranging from luxury communities such as Federal Heights, Bonneville on The Hill and Capitol Hill; to walkable communities like the Avenues and University area which offer historic cottage style and bungalow homes.
