Draper City – Suburban
Draper City is as far south as one can travel on the east side of Salt Lake County and lies contiguous to Utah County. Development and traffic in this area tends to be a bit heavier than in some of the locations further north.
In Draper one will find a plethora of chain store shopping and dining options such as Kohl’s, Famous Footwear, Target, and much more. The area is also a short drive to Southtown Mall. Anything you may need will be easily accessible.
Activities for families are abundant, from miniature golf and batting cages, The Living Planet Aquarium, Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Park and Petting Zoo, to recreation centers, gyms, and hiking trails.
Home and lot sizes run larger in Draper. Homes are newer, from the 1990’s to present. Price per square foot is lower than in cities further north, closer to downtown Salt Lake. Draper City offers diversity in housing supporting all income demographics.
Suncrest Community lies at the southeast corner of Draper and requires a drive up the mountain. For those commuting to downtown Salt Lake City this will add 10 - 15 minutes of extra drive time to your work commute. Drive time from Draper to Salt Lake will average 20-35 minutes depending upon your location.
